Well we took a week off from the barn to make the pilgrimage to Sturgis. It was really hot some of the days but it was great to see the kids! Did some riding, shopping, and sight-seeing. We even karaoked in public! Not sure what happened there. Must have been the 'atmosphere' we were experiencing. Here are the latest photos. We installed the frame for the fireman's pole and have the pole in the hole so we won't have to struggle with that while putting up the roof. The kids are coming home (except for Cam, he has to work) for Labor Day to help work on the barn. That'll be a nice vacation for them! Maybe I'll talk to the webmaster and see if we can stray from the Dziowgo's Toybox format and post some Sturgis photos next time.

Last weekend the professional rolled into town and graced us with her knowledge and skill. Candice was in town for a friends wedding and decided that if she wanted to have a more enjoyable time at the Barn Raising party, she better help! She really enjoyed the ease of the air nailer. Might have even increased the caliber of her 'guns.' She didn't even have to get her hands dirty! She did pick up a blister from trying to ring the nailer's neck. Had to go out hunting for more floor boards. Found about twenty usable boards out at Woody's hog barn that we torn down. Almost finished with the floor! The walls on the second floor should go up pretty easy since we'll have a nice area to work. Then the roof begins. Also have my plans for the fireman's pole in my head that I'll have to put into reality some time soon. Man, I can't believe it is looking this good! Not to shabby.
