After experiencing a heat wave, barn progress has begun to pick up again. Started the chore of making the stairs. Not really following a plan, but why start now? Dad has been coming out and helping with the wiring. We catch a little flack about not having "plans" but it is just a barn. Do you like my secret hiding spot for when Cheryl wants me to get some seasonal decorations down? Don't think she'll ever find me here!

Well, we are halfway there! With the floor that is. Cam came home and contrary to photo of him 'resting,' he was valuable help. Always nice to have some extra hands around to help out. The floor is 21 feet completed, over halfway, working from the south to the north. If we catch a break from the heat, we should be able to cruise the rest of the way. We found a garage door on Party Line. It was a classmate of Cory's that had the door for sale. We purchased that with all the hardware and also got a wood door with a storm door for free! Not to shabby. Just have to install them and build the stairs..........install the fireman's pole...........frame the second story walls...........sheet them...........put up the rafters and roof boards............tin the roof.........put up the siding..........paint it..........and FINALLY bring in the pedal cars! Not too much to do yet. :)

Well, we have begun to slow down on working on the monster barn. Things have been rolling smoothly. Cam came home before the Fourth and helped finish up the floor joists. Good to have that done. We have begun on the putting up the floor boards on the second floor. That'll be nice to have a work surface up there when we are finished. Heading to Yankton for a little vacation. It'll be nice to be away from the barn for a bit. I am sure it'll be here when we get back! Don't think it is going anywhere, anytime soon. Also had some time to ride Pepper. She looked pretty nice all dressed up and ready for the rodeo.

P.S. Our webmaster hasn't figured out how this web design software decides to put the photos into the text. Seems to be on a random program. I'll have to get on him or cut his wages!
