Judgement day was finally upon us! These are 5x9 bridge stringers. Weight is unknown but Cory doesn't need a donut to sit on! We propped up one end on the ladder then the other. Cory put the end on his shoulder while I steadied the other end and we set them in place. All this was done with the loader we borrowed sitting and watching! Nothing like human horsepower. These beams are sitting on posts that were cut with the chainsaw. Talk about precision. Would you believe that when you put the level from the beams to the side walls, it s perfectly level (as shown in the photo)? What craftsmanship. If these beams don't hold the second floor, I don't know what will.
